10-Stitch Blanket
The original 10-Stitch Blanket which is definitely a modern work of art by Frankie Brown . It’s a Free knitting pattern available on Ravelry .
There is now a Free conversion pattern by Charity Windham also on Ravelry for us loom knitters. I am really liking this one. Made on any size loom, no seams to sew, no size limit. This pattern is a “Must Do”.
Let me give you a cherry to put on top, Charity made a YouTube video. It’s impossible to say no to this terrific project.

FREE Loom Knit Pattern
The loom knitting 10-Stitch Blanket pattern is a 7-page downloadable PDF. Has easy to follow instructions and good pictures.
To make this baby you will need a loom with 10 pegs. The shape nor the gauge matter. However, Charity does caution on using a loom that is 24-pegs or smaller if you’re making a baby blanket or any larger project. I can image things getting hard to manage as the knitting gets longer.
Charity went one step further with this project and created a video. Although the project is pretty simple making it the first time can be awkward. Watching the expert doing her stuff makes it way easier. For the FREE Pattern: Click Here

I can’t get it download. ((I am a Ravelry member.) It looks like the blog is gone too?
Hi – not sure. This is not my pattern. There is a link on the page to contact the designer. Sorry – wish I could be more helpful.
I’m confused how to do the decreases in the other direction, since it’s done on the knitting row and then you purl back. I tried doing it the other way on the purl row but it didn’t work out for me. I’d really rather have it more flat than ridged.
I looked around some more and found your previous video on YouTube. I’ve got it. now.
These are not my videos – just sharing the information here with my readers.
When I change color I have have a very noticeable line. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for a great You Tube video.
Are you also changing your stitch pattern?

Is anybody else having trouble with Ravelry’s website? I’m trying to look up the ten stitch twist blanket but everytime I go to Ravelry it keeps telling me an error occured. It’s been like that for two days so not sure what’s wrong with the site. I’m already a member but can’t even see the webpage at all.
Ashley, I’ve tried all the links on this page and they all work for me. Try loging in to Ravelry first – don’t log out – try the links. Everything should work fine.

Ive tried the links and just ravelry but still doesn’t work on my end. It might just be my computer
is there a chart that would be helpful in figuring out how much yarn it takes to make one of these blankets? I am interested in making a baby blanket to begin with and go from there…I would hate to run out before I get one finished!! thanks~~
Hi Nancy, sorry for the delay – I thought I had replied to this. So here is the issue – I would tell you that what has made this pattern so popular, aside from being absolutely beautiful – is that each person is going to use what ever loom and yarn they have on hand.
I recommend that you make a swatch about 5 inches- figure out how much yarn it took you to make the swatch – figure out low long you’re going to want to make the item and then do the math by inches or what ever method of measurement you use.
Example: the 5 inch swatch took 2 yards of yarn and you want a 20 inch blanket (just for example purpose ) so 5 goes into 20 (20*5=4) , 4 times (4×2=8) so you need 8 yards.
Hope that helped,
denise

I think I posted my previous comment on the wrong page. I meant to post it on the baby bootie page.
I love your tutorial for baby booties. I just wish you would make a tutorial showing how you decorated the finished baby booties. I’m new to loom knitting, and have no idea how to decorate them.
Sounds like an awesome idea for an article. I believe I will roll with that one very soon ! Stay tuned.
