Provo Craft Projects
Provo Craft Projects just disappeared one day. Poof. Into a cloud of dust. Everybody’s online links broke. Worst of all, no word from the folks at Provo. Just the sound of the wind whistling Circuit ads every time you clicked a link to a Knifty Knitter loom knit pattern or any craft project. It was so frustrating because I had spent a lot of time going through pages of patterns looking for the round easy patterns. I pasted images and added links and tested them endlessly. When they stopped working I wanted to scream.
But there is a happy ending to this horror story, last week I got the greatest message ever ! ! ! Thanks to our friend SUE I found out that there is one place that has the Provo craft projects including the FREE Knifty Knitter loom patterns. Wow, someone had saved the day. I don’t know how to thank Sue. I hope you guys will take a little time and thank her in our comment section or visit her Tumblr page ( Click Here ) and say hello.
For the answer to the question: Where did the Provo Craft Project Go?
All you have to do is Scroll Down for the links to the webpage or Click Here for my 100 Free Round Loom Patterns. It includes some but not all the projects because this page focuses on Easy round loom patterns only.

If you discover that there is a project you really loved but is not listed anymore post a question in the comment section. It doesn’t have to be a Provo Craft project, it can be any pattern. Maybe someone will help you find it. I’m a big believer in asking for help. Had I not, I would have lost these FREE patterns forever. That would have been SAD, Sad, sad.

I love loom knitting hats, scarves, gloves and toys. It’s my favorite craft to teach, for gifts and charity giving. A fail proof knitting method for any age that can be mastered within minutes.
I was very upset when all my local craft stores stopped carrying the brand. Walmart now has the Boye Loom which I am not a fan of using and Michaels now mostly carries their generic brand which is great. The Best Buy in Knifty Knitter loom sets is the one that includes 2 Looms, the Flower Loom and the Long Loom.
Save your Provo Craft – Forever
I recommend that you PRINT THEM !
Every one of the patterns you like or think you might like in the future. I am. I refuse to take any more chances.
Maybe I’m traumatized because I really wanted to do the bunny and the poncho and I thought I had lost them for ever that I am creating a binder. This way I’m not married to the online site. Don’t need a computer for the information. Old fashion but reliable.
The idea is to print the pattern, insert them in plastic cover page protectors and then put them in a three hole binder. I might even consider some dividers. Not sure yet what my categories would be. Maybe the same ones I use for the website. For you guys it could something like, Kids, Home, Office, Men, Women, Car, Pets, Toys, Bathroom, Bedroom, Kitchen.. etc.
Note:
Amazon has all these products with FREE SHIPPING if you spend $25. Save gas and time. Click Here
Another option is a Flash Drive
Nothing fancy. Can hold more patterns than you could ever need for just pennies. They come in a huge array of colors, styles and capacity. I’m a big user of flash drives. Always carry one with me on my key ring. You never know when your friend might have information you want.
You could assign one just to your patterns.

What is a lid round used for? I got one in a kit I bought, it is wooden and round…does it go on back of my wooden piece and then onto a jar?
Bettina wish I could help. I’m not sure what you’re asking about – this site is only for loom knitting.
Anyone have the instructions for the loom clips? Or scans of the loom clip booklet? Thanks
Looking for loom clips please help
Hi Hazel, Hurry Right now you can get them for $10 on eBay
Help please with additional instructions on poncho with collar #42 of 100 free patterns. My blue loom has only 24 pegs how do I cast on 42???
Hi Lori, sorry but you can not cast on 42 pegs on a 24-peg loom. Those are the limitations of this craft. There is a painful method of removing the stitches and placing them on a holder to add more. You would no want to do that for more then say 4 – 6 stitches. In this video you will see what I mean: Click HERE
OK how do I make this and which loom do i use bathe instructions contradict this would be project 42 cape. I really like this and really want to try making it with better instruction. Ty
Hi Lori,
That project was made using an Extra Large 41 peg loom. Here us a video by Tuteate that may help you with a poncho project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX-sHlDGxhY&feature=share

Hazel, sorry but I have nothing to do with selling or making looms – I just knit and teach.
Hello I am wondering if it is possible to buy just the pegs for my loom. I have had a couple of them break. 🙁 The loom is so easy to use kids really enjoy to make things.
Hope you can buy just the peg because I don’t want to throw it out.
Thank you
Here is a post on replacement pegs… Click HERE
Just wanted to say…..the folks buying the looms now are buying an inferior product made in China. The experience is disappointing. The looms have rugged construction. The pegs are not smooth nor do they have a large enough head to hold the yarn. There is little substance to the entire loom. So sad and frustrating. Where can I buy the REAL ones?
Thanx
On eBay and Amazon – just make sure they was original Knifty Knitter. Click the link on the side bar of the page

Provo Crafts was the distributor you can try contacting them – Sorry I don’t have any information on the designer
OK, so I ordered a mystery box from Cricut.com. Included in this package is a brand new Knifty Knitter assorted loom series loom set. Included in this set is a long loom, 2 different size round looms a flower loom, needle, hook, instruction booklet and a dvd. When trying to access the dvd, it wouldn’t run with my current software. I guess because the dvd is from 2006. So, I then looked it up on line and found this site. I’m glad that I’ve found it, cause I was really excited to try my hand at “KNITTING”.
P.S. Just out of curiosity, I went to Cricut.com and looked for Knifty Knitter in the search. It pulled up showing a price of $9.99 for the loom set or the video. The loom is showing out of stock, but dvd is available. Maybe they started making them again?????
Hi Trish, I’m curious about this “Mystery Box” – Went to Cricut.com – didn’t see it. Would love to see KK in the local markets again
Thank you very much for putting up this website. I will be a frequent visitor.
Am I to understand that Knifty Knitter looms are out of business ?
I also have not seen them in the stores and don’t really like the ones that are there now.
Thank you for this website. I do have the original looms and the purple round hat loom.
DorothyW.
Thank YOU!!!! I was wondering where all the knifty knitter patterns had gone. I greatly appreciate you for this message and link.
Happy looming!
Hi there, You’ve done an excellent job. I will
definitely digg it and personally suggest to my friends.
I’m confident they will be benefited from this website.
Thank you so much for posting this! I just started loom knitting and I was so frustrated that so many projects I wanted to look at seemed to redirect to the Cricut page. What the heck, Provo? I guess they just decided they only care about scrapbooking now? So weird. Anyway, I’m so happy to be able to access these patterns and you BET I will be downloading the ones I like to my Dropbox. 🙂
I was Very frustrated too. You would think that with the ease of technology and the ability to store large amounts of data in a small space Provo would have found a way to keep this info live.
Thank you so much! I was wondering if I was doing something wrong.
I try to save all the patterns I like on a Word document and “PDF” them and save them on my Dropbox, but I agree, printed patterns are always good, too!
