I just bought the Boye’s sock loom. I had difficulty removing the center bar so I could place it at the appropriate number of pegs for the sock. Now, I cannot get the center bar to fit back into place – it’s just too snug to fit back into the grooves. I can only find videos for other brands of looms – ones where the center bar slides – which the Boye’s brand does not slide. How do I adjust the center (get it to snap back by the right number of pegs?
Sue – I have not had this issue. I recommend contacting customer service for the manufacturer.
I’m annoyed. I have this loom and I can’t figure out how to make the boot cuffs (by reading instructions that came in the box) or fingerless gloves. Can you suggest anything?
Hi Samantha, I would suggest finding a pattern for gloves and boot cuffs using a small gauge loom like KB looms
Denise. First, I love your YouTube Channel. But about this loom. I have bought this loom and read the instructions and I am worried. I am a male with a size US 13 WIDE (just to add insult to injury) foot. Can I make a sock that will fit me and that I could wear in shoes? Thanks for your time.
Hi William, how tight or loose your project ends up being is as much determined by your choice of stitch as your loom. I would suggest finding a pattern on a small gauge loom for a man. And I recommend this post and video: Click HERE
