Ankle Booties Circular Loom Pattern

Ankle BootiesAnkle Booties Circular Loom Pattern

The Ankle Booties for your baby by Scarlett Royal is just too cute. She has designed this project so that it can be done on a round or small circular loom or a small long loom. She uses the Knifty Knitter blue loom for this sample. I love the combination of the two very contrasting colors.

I had to share this treasure with you. This is a really easy pattern to follow at the very best price you could ever ask for, FREE. Please make sure to thank Scarlett when you visit for making it affordable for everyone. Now, here is the cherry on top, wait for it, wait for it… she has a video tutorial ! In less than 15 minutes you visual learners can learn the ankle booties circular loom pattern.

Small Loom

The Loom of Choice

I love my Knifty Knitter looms because of moments like these when I find a pattern I like and the designer has used the KK looms. This lets me know that my end results will be almost identical to the original intended design

This is more often the case then not. But if you don’t have this loom don’t fret. Note that you just need a 24-peg loom. That means that the Darice, Boye or the Michael’s store brand of looms will work just fine.

Note that if your plan is to buy a small loom I believe that Boye is the only one that sells the single loom. All the other brands only sell the set. I am not a fan of Boye looms. For my product review, Click Here

The Video

My personal recommendation is that you print the pattern, read it through and then watch the video completely from start to finish. All after you have done these two things should you gather you materials and start the project.

I say this not because the project is difficult. I do my best to mostly share FREE and Easy patterns. I always make this recommendation because knowing the steps to a project before embarking on it make it task much simpler. You will find that you take on the pattern with more boldness and ease.

It’s nearly impossible to find knowledgeable people about this topic,
however, you seem like you know what you’re talking about!
    Thanks

Pattern seems well-written so didn’t “watch” video because am totally blind and figured the pattern instructions were adequate. Wonder if I can make these dollies look good without a color sense, especially for the face and maybe hair. Plan to try it anyway. I love to needle knit for charity! Am just learning loom knitting.

I must have goofed somewhere. My first one came out much shorter than hers. Maybe it was the yarn I used? Oh well. Think I’ll just go a bit longer. It is winter here in Kansas.

    • Denise Canela November 12, 2013 at 6:24 pm

Hi Jackie, if you use thinner yarn – yes it will be smaller. It also depends on whether you use one strand or two – the gauge of your loom and the tension of your knitting. .. try it again .. send pictures 🙂

This pattern is not mine – the designer is by Scarlet Royal. I agree, she is very talented.
