You Can Use any Long, Rectangular or Oval Loom for Hats
You can knit hats on a long loom, an oval or a rectangular. Most people believe that you need a round loom to knit a round item but the notion is incorrect. So, what are the requirements to make a hat on a long loom.? Well, in this example, the most important feature is a loom with continuas pegs. In other words, there are no gaps between one peg and next. The next most important feature is that you get the right size.
What is the process? That’s a bit of a longer explaination and for that I made a step by step video. It’s easy enough for even the true beginner. Scroll all the way to the bottom of this post to watch the five minute video.

This video is mostly focused on teaching you a concept you can use with any size hat not just the newborn baby hat. So please, don’t get fixated on the size of the hat. My intent is information that you can use for many different projects not just hat.
