Chinese Wave Stitch on a Knitting Loom
Pattern Notes:
Once again, this stitch is also known as the Rich man’s Garter, the Knit Loop Stitch and the Slip Stitch Honeycomb. Is that crazy or what.
The sample was done using the U-wrap version of the knit stitch on a small gauge loom. This pattern also does well on a large gauge loom

Chinese Wave Stitch Video
As always I recommend watching the video from start to finish before you attempt the stitch pattern. The video is only 6 minutes so can watch it and have plenty of time to make something interesting with your new stitch pattern.

I have enjoyed all your videos. Thank you for the new stitch. I agree with Megan’s comments.
THANK YOU MJ !!!!
I posted this comment on one of your YouTube videos but I want to make sure you saw it. I really appreciate all of your videos. There aren’t many online for loom knitting and those I’ve found don’t have you’re quality. Thank you so much for your hard work. ?
THANK YOU sooooo much Megan – I really do appreciate the feedback.
Thank you so much for this stitch! It really is beautiful. My husband even commented on how pretty the hat was that I knitted with this stitch.
Motria – so glad you like the stitch and super glad someone’s husband would even make note of it – that is AWESOME !
Hi Denise! I came across this stitch about a year ago! I found it on a regular needle knit site and it was so easy to convert to the loom. I also became obsessed, I have only done one blanket, but I love it! So glad you did this video!
Hey Gina – sooooo glad you like this stitch – a blanket WOW – I’m still trying to finish an 8 inch washcloth.
Hi Denise, I just wanted to take the time to let you know how appreciative I am for taking the time to show us new stitch patterns. I have been a little ADD challenged lately, (CANNOT seem to remember what I am doing from one part of my knitting to the next)! BUT, I am DETERMINED to make beanies for the troops and for others in need, so am not giving up!
Your videos REALLY GO A LONG WAY in helping me to stay connected and on point. I will take the time to say thank you to anyone who has given of their time in showing a pattern for free as I know that takes a LOT of TIME and PLANNING! I have a sweater coat that my sister made about 25 years ago and it is just amazing to me how she did it. But as the saying goes,, it was done one stitch at a time.
Again, thank you from the bottom of heart for all that you do, and may God bless you in all of your endeavors.

Vikki, first and foremost, soooooooooooooooooo sorry for the delay in response. I’m very behind but I wanted to make sure that I respond to this precious comment no matter how late. You have so blessed me and I totally appreciate it. Sometimes I wonder if folks understand how much work it takes to make even a 2 min video. Believe or not even a very short video can take days especially if it includes technical information that needs testing and verification.
Thank you my friend – and many many hugs
Very nice! I do love those stitches that are squishable, warm, and super versatile! ?
Hi Bethany – I’m always sooooo happy to get feedback from you and yep this one is a squishy. Sorry so late – I’m way behind on EVERYTHING! Hugs – one day we have to meet so I can interview you for my channel (you areone of my favorite designers !) …
Thanks Denise, I learn a lot from you. You are awesome!!!!
Thank YOU Caroline !
OOOOH – looks awesome. Thanks for sharing!!
