Chevron Zig Zag Stitch Pattern Video

Chevron Zig Zag Stitch Pattern on a Large Gauge Knitting Loom

Loom knit Chevron Zig Zag Stitch

The Chevron Zig Zag Stitch pattern doesn’t curl on the edges and is completely reversible. That makes it a perfect stitch for blankets, throws and washcloths patterns. If you know me, you know I love to knit washcloths and dishcloths. They’re easy, quick and usable. Another thing I love is that it’s a unisex fabric that can be used for everyone.

Below is a step by step video of the flat version. The round version is available in the written pattern.

Hello lovely lady, I want to make this beauty in the round for a hat. My looms have 36 or 41 pegs. Please could you tell me how I could do the 10 stitch pattern.

Purl the extra stitch. It will just hide away and you wont be able to tell the difference.

Hey you said this pattern doesn’t have a cast on or off. How do you get started if you don’t have a cast on. You need to show this process. And how to take the project off if you don’t have a cast off. I love this pattern but I don’t know how to get started

Vicky – this is not a Project pattern – it is a Stitch Pattern – here is more information: Click HERE

I’m currently watching the slouchy Hat video, but my loom is only 40 pegs, how would you suggest starting on this?

    • Denise Canela October 21, 2019 at 5:58 pm

Hi Becca – there are several slouchy hat videos – my answer would depend on the design. Sometimes you can just ignore the last stitch and it will have no effect on the pattern but sometimes it does.

How would you suggest using this pattern to make a blanket /afghan? My largest loom isn’t wide enough.

    • Denise Canela October 21, 2019 at 6:00 pm

Hi Jennifer you can adjust the stitches to fit the number of pegs on your loom , make panels and sew them together. Click HERE for an example

    Hi Denise,
You said several times a “Purl 1“ when the written row said P7……was that a misprint or did you say it wrong?
