Note: When you make your pom poms try to leave at least two long strings to work with. This can be the string that you use to tie all the small strings that make-up the pom pom.

1. Grab the strings of the hat and the pom pom

2. Wrap the strings of the hat around the strings of the pom pom

3. Tie a knot

4. Tie another knot – Make it really tight.

Another Option for How to Attach a Pom Pom – Not to Your Hat

Note The pom pom in the picture were made using the Clover pom pom maker. But there are lots of other ways to make pom poms from household items to your own hand.

There are also lots of awesome craft projects that can be made from them. My favorite are pom pom critters . For that type of craft you can also tie two pom poms in with the same method shown above. However, there will be scenarios when glue will be your best option. I suggest a low-temperature glue gun.

These types of glue guns melt the glue so that you can work with it easily. The low temperature keeps it from melting your yarn and other synthetic materials.
