Loom Knit the Zig-Zag Eyelet Stitch Pattern
I have wanted to do a version of the zig-zag eyelet stitch for a long time. My big problem was making it work on a large gauge loom. The issue I have with small gauge looms is that they are expensive and very time-consuming. But you have to admit that there is nothing like the tight stitch those looms give you.
Well after 2 days of knitting, frogging and knitting, frogging and knitting , I got the results I wanted. I am super happy with this lacy stitch. It has so much texture and character. Best of all, you can use it for any member of the family. The fabric is not reversible but I believe it looks really good too. Take a look at the picture below. The eyelets are visible and give the purled fabric a look of inter-locking strips.
My plan is to make a small cowl. Tell me your plan in the comment section

This could be used to make a hat couldn’t it?
Yes – but keep in mind that the video is for a flat project
Hi Denise! Thank you for creating such an amazing loom knittiing website.
I plan on making a cowl as well using the ziz zag eyelet stitch and the oversized cowl pattern. I hope that combination will work. Your thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! From a huge fan in Ottawa, Canada
Paula, thanks for asking – the only way to know this would look is to create a swatch. I know that folks don’t like that answer but sometimes we have to do painful things.
